Flying - Getting Started

The goal of a flying club is to get you flying. Diamond Aces has outlined the steps/goals requried to achieve your WINGS. Wings are requried for any solo flight at a MAAC sanctioned field. Adobe Reader is required to view this and other documents on this site.

Radios - Where to start?

From the 70s until recently this topic has been relatively unchanged. With the introduction of digital servos and spread specktrum transmitters this will be a full topic. Included in this area will be a description of the different systems out there both current and as they change. Also expect to find information specific battery options to power the radio systems. Electronics - Chargers/Gadgets

Shown in the image to the left is just one of the new chargers out there capable of charging virtually all the chemistries out there, and four at a time to boot all on different chemistries. We will discuss this charger as well as a variety of other chargers and gadgets that make the hobby safer and more fun.
